Ascentive!!!!!!!

I have tried all I know to rid my computer from this software, right clic and delete, add / remove programs, I even tried the CCleaner method found here on pissed consumer.com, "The solution for removal is fairly simple. Right click on the start button and choose explore from the start menu. When it opens, you will see the program folder. Open the program folder and you should see the folder for Ascentive. Right click on the folder and press delete from the menu. This will remove most everything from the computer. To finish the removal, download and run CCleaner (a google search will get you to the download site and it is free). Run the registry cleaner (be sure to back it up per the directions....very easy), and when you make the corrections to the registry, all traces of Ascentive will be removed", even tried the unistall feature of CCleaner for unwanted programs; but it is still alive and kicking. Try looking in the program files. If you find something that says "Ascentive" or something like that, try deleting it.

I am not sure if this will work, but try it.

Asentive BS product -Total Scam

Asentive Software supposedly would speed up my computer, and clean it up. Instead it SLOWED down my computer and now Repeatedly bombards me with pop ups to purchase more of their ***. What a ripp-off. Thay are, what they say they are going to help prevent, and get rid off. I am going to file a complaint with the BBB. I advise anyone thinking of purchasing and downloading any of their product, Do Not Do It. I sent them e-mails, which were totally ignored.The software that I originally purchased, did exactly the oppisete(sp?) of what it advertised. All The Best, Kevin K Dugan

totally true real scam artist.adam schran company is a rip off company .he been around sveral other companies for years.this german lives on other people money the state of new york is on to him.he cares less want you get and charges more for less .doesn`t put the correct charges when you try to cancell.he will use your money until he is forced to give it back.companies like profusion,intelliselk,mahattan software,etc.these companies receive big incentives by ripping you off,so much for chris at customer service cannot even put his last name in there.do not deal with these companies nor anything to do with adam schran.joey the sicilian pissed off one.

Ascentive is a complete ripoff the programs does not work and they will not give me a refund

I ordered ascentive software to help improve my speed on my computer. it turned out it made it worse. i was then offered other programs but none of them worked and they would not refund my money.i only used the program for twelve days and i t was not what they said it was this company needs to be turned in to the better business bureau because they are selling products that donot work. i ordered the pc scan and sweep software on feb.18th 2009 with a free ten day trial and during the whole time i was having problems and was not satified but they continued to let me try other software but none worked.

hmmmmmmmm lets see. You paid for a software that Microsoft offers for free. On top of that you can find so many freeware and open source programs to do the same FOR FREE!

Most of them don't work when you surf ***, have a huge primary partition, have a million files saved to your desktop, on and on and on.

What you need to do is open a web browser. You have one open if you are reading this. In the address bar type www.google.com You want to make your PC faster? Buy a new one. Then learn how much HDD space you need for your OS. Shrink it. Then create a new partition and save your files there. Install your 100 games there. Install your sys progs to your primary part BUT NOTHING ELSE.

Took my cash, sold some BS! Ruined my computer,won't let me cancel. Have my personal info!

I am very upset with this company. Every thing you click to get help is a loop. I WAS SO ***, in not doing any research on the product before they have my personal info includeing credit card # with pending charges they KEEP ADDING I DID NOT ORDER!! I put this on my computer it ruined it and it made my computer more screwed up than it already was in the first place. I am very concerned that they will keep charging me and I can't even sue! This is a SCAM! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM AT ALL!! BEWARE BUYERS!

Virus aparently accompanied download

after downloading ascent programs, my computer would not work properly. I had to take it to a shop and they charged me $45.00 to remove ascent programs and they said that my computer had developed a virus. A real ripoff. I hope that they don't charge my credit card anymore and that they clean up their act before the class action suit gains momentum. I was a fool to give them my credit card number and to believe their propaganda that they could speed up my computer. I hope others read the reviews and don't fall victim to their stuff. A company called secureremotesupport.com assists people and removed virus malware and spyware threats. They are a great company to look at to get a quote for your paticular removal.

My computer is okay I've paid over $70 and you still wnt. more your programs will not complete tasks

paid $70 still does notwork and you want more cancel and refund my money.........do you understand ripoff attorneys do YOU that what i think so you think you can screw people with a one hundred word min why even continue this outrage aw as it is a rip off never seen on a internet site you must stop this *** as it is going to be a continued hassle for your company it seems to me that it would be easier to just give your product to us a make it really work.

I think we should get together to file a class action suit against them!!!!!

I've been trying to get my $47.95 back for a week! I told them I want my money back or I am contacting the Attorney General! They seemed to be assisting me at first, but aren't! They say they can't find my order. Now I would like to know if anyone would like to stand with me to go after them! Anyone game? I am going to let everyone I know, about Ascentives bogus ways! Are you with me? We probably won't get our money back, but maybe we can stop them from doing this to others!!!!!!! :o)

THEY SOLD ME SOME ***!!!

These people don't answer mail and their phone is always busy. I know I'm computer ignorant, but my kids aren't!! How do I get a refund or get the program to work? I'm getting more spam now than I was before using their products and my computer is slower than ever! Can anyone spell or explain class action lawsuits or where is the consumer fraud division? I smell rat and have a suspicion that I and a lot of others have been had, mislead and bamboozeled. Who gave Ascentive all these accolades any *** way, and are they on the up and up?

Finallyfast software ***!!!

I just paid 29.95 for the first step of Finallyfast software and now they want another 29.95 for the second step.Didn't they offer it for free?! Every time I turn my comp on I see the same offer of the second step again and again.Also they notify me that my comp is error free, but few seconds later an error pops up on the screen. Please don't spend your money and time on it, and don't make the same mistake I did! Now I really pissed off and I want my money back!!!

I paid $29.95 twice for 2 progams I was told that I would have to buy a progam for $129.95

because my computer would not download the progams.I told them to cancel everthing and put back the money into my account,I am still waiting for my refund.

It is so frustrating. I paid for this after seeing the commercial for "Finally fast.com".

well, after downloading this, more progams appear, making one believe that the total package cannot be complete without the download of these extra programs. The program does abolutely nothing for my computer for the 40-50 dollars I spent.

I am angry for falling into this trap, and more angry that I believe it is slowing my computer down, if anything. IWOULD ADVISE AGAINST DOWNLOADING THIS PROGRAM, OR PAYING FOR IT.

Faulty products & invalid charges

I sure am pissed. 1) I contracted to pay $29 & a bit; instead, I have been charged $47 for each of the two following orders: Order Reference Number 186064**** & " " " 186061**** 2) When I downloaded each item, my computer 'froze'. I could not install the products; fortunately some off-line programs worked and I was able to delete the products by using the control panel and 'add or remove programs'. 3) So, these Ascentive products are of no use to me and I wish you to refund all of my money as soon as possible. WhAT a ahame - I'm sure they would have been great if I could have gotten them to work. Looking forward to the refunds: With thanks T M Loftus

I can tell you that they probably will not refund your money since they sell unlimited downloads for an extra $5 or $10. If you don't buy the unlimited downloads then whatever happens after you download it the 1st time is your problem. Sucks, i no, but that's the way it is and ascentive is not the only company who does that.

Ascentive Software

This product doesn't work! They took my money and now won't answer me. Beware! The phone number I saw earlier is now removed from their website. No matter, it was constantly busy anyway. Probably with complainers. I saw their ad on TV for a few short days so I thought they were legitimate... Guess not. I've sent them several emails of which I've recieved no reply whatsoever. Ibought the first product for $29.95, and when it didn't work they recommended the "internet Optimizer". I then bought that for $59.95 hoping it would help. It didn't. They also charged me $4.95 for some sort of "back-up guarantee" that would enable me to redownload the product if I lost it. Major alarms should've went off in my head for that one, but being the trusting person that I am I went for it. Don't be suckered by these guys, I was.

I HEARD ABOUT ASCENTIVE ON HOWARD STERN(SIRIUS RADIO) SO I SPENT OVER $300 ON THIS SOFTWARE & IT DIDN'T WORK!!! I CALLED TO SPEAK WITH SOMEONE ON 01/07 & THEY ISSUED ME A PARTIAL REFUND. NOW I CALL BECAUSE I HAVEN'T RECEIVED ALL OF MY MONEY & I CAN'T GET A LIVE PERSON??? WTF!!! I'M GETTING REALLY PISSED HERE!!! ON THE MESSAGE WHEN YOU CALL THE NUMBER(888-550-****)THEY STATE THAT THEY ARE TRYING TO GET MORE PEOPLE TO TAKE CALLS. I BET THEY WON'T TAKE CALLS BECAUSE THEY'RE GETTING SO MANY COMPLAINTS!!!

FINALLY FAST *** DO NOT USE WARNING!!!

Finally fast proclaims to help speed up your machine this software actually writes a loop file into your system that will make your system have a popup everytime you load it or if you decide to shitcan the software it writes itself and then initiates. I removed this by restoring the system to a state before the software was initiated or installed. I also had to do a complete maintainance on the machine to clear it of the *** that this software put on when it installed.. It contains 2 trojans I know of which are easy to get rid of and 2 unknown ones that I found out about from a friend that said they originated in China. The 2 chinease ones were deleted by my virus program. I used a system mechanic software to help remove the clutter this left behind and restored the system to better then before proformance without all the hassle and *** this company is pushing.. Geez I guess it comes down to money being at the heart of it all.

DO NOT BUY OR DOWNLOAD PERIOD!!!! It put a major VIRUS "ALUREON" on my computer and it took me 4 days to find out what it was and had to get a TDSS killer to get the ***damned thing off my computer.

Almost crashed it, but I was so pissed!! I bought the pc scan and sweep and my computer just totally went bonkers!! My norton kept popping every few minutes saying someone was attacking my computer, over and over. Even after I uninstalled the ascentive software, it left this horrible virus!!!

I just had an online chat with them and they are suppose to give me a refund!! But we'll see.

I told them I was reporting them to the BBB if I didn't get my refund for paying for a VIRUS! Jeeze, these people need to be stopped!!

It got worse trying to sell me two more programs.Finnaly bought Mcafee and got rid of it.

Guess what no refund. RUN AWAY DO NOT USE!!!

Ascentive PC SpeedScan Pro Annual Renewals

I refuse to pay for a software product, again and again. Renewals are a scam. There are many software companies out there that continue to do what you paid for. What if Microsoft or Mac decided to do this? When one buys software and puts in their computer, It should continue to operate as it did when you bought it. It goes back to the old saying ..... You never get something for nothing. As long as people continue to fall for this type of conduct, they will continue to just rake in the money. And now this makes my 101 words.
